Broccoli - Hot-n-Spicy in a Jiffy

I love Broccoli. I cannot say that I have always loved it, well, mostly because I never saw it in India and only started eating it after coming to the U.S.. My first tryst with this odd looking, green cauliflower type thing, was in a Malaysian curry dish. And OMG! I have not tasted any other vegetable that can soak in flavors as much as Broccoli does. Since then, I am a fan. Even if you don't love Broccoli yet, try this simple dish - at worst, you will like (or not like) it as much as you did before. At best, you'll become a fan .. like yours truly :-) PS: To get an idea of how much I like this vegetable, here is a statistic - we buy this from Costco - yes, the BIG BAG of BROCCOLI from Costco. Ingredients (serves 4) Broccoli florets - 12 oz/350g Trader Joe's Jalapeno Pepper Hot Sauce - 1 tsp Italian Seasoning (Optional) Sea Salt (or regular salt) - per taste Extra Virgin Olive Oil - 1 tsp 1) Trim the florets to about 2in size. Rinse in cold water (or wash thoroughly if not

Paneer Makhani - Divine indulgence

This is my sister-in-law's recipe. She is an amazing cook and whips up these delicious dishes which look and taste as good or better than you would find at any top Indian restaurants. This is a rich dish, originally from the northern regions of India and made during special occasions. The first I had this was at her place when they had their house warming. And then I ABSOLUTELY had to make this for Diwali. So for Diwali, we have a get-together at our place every year and I like to cook mostly at home. I usually make Chole and one other dish. Last year, this was the highlight. Everyone loved it. It is high effort, but totally worth every bit of it. Enjoy! Paneer Makhani Ingredients Paneer - 500 g Onion - 6 small Tomatoes - 2 cans or 8 large Ginger - 3 in piece Garlic - 3 pods Cashew nut paste - 1/4 cup (grind with a little water) Bay Leaf - 2 Kasoori Methi (dried fenugreek) - 4-5 tbsp Cardamom Garam Masala Corriander-Jeera powder Kashmiri Mirch Powder (red pepper powder) Salt - per
